Munroe-Meyer
Institute
provides diagnosis and treatment for more than 10,000 people with developmental disabilities and children with special health needs each year. The Human Genetics program is the only comprehensive laboratory and clinical genetic site in the region offering complete genetic services. Areas of specialization include fetal health, genetic counseling, clinical diagnosis, chromosome analysis and amniocentesis.
 The UNMC
Eppley Cancer Center
is one of the founding members of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, an alliance of 17 leading cancer centers in the United States. Basic and clinical cancer research and educational programs, including cancer prevention and outreach, are coordinated through the UNMC Eppley Cancer Center. The Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases is the basic research component. The center has received designation as a National Cancer Institute Clinical Cancer Center, recognizing its excellence in basic and clinical research.
Lied
Transplant Center, 
is an ultramodern 14-story building, is home to a world model for solid organ, bone marrow and stem cell transplants, and cancer care. It includes a fully integrated oncology treatment center, transplant center, research facilities, and 44 patient-care suites. The center also provides attractive, comfortable accommodations for patients' care partners.
